Phone Munshi Data Deletion Instructions

Who this page is for

• Callers whose call was answered by a Phone Munshi AI agent, or who received a WhatsApp follow-up, and who want that data deleted.
• Tradesmen who subscribe to Phone Munshi and want their account and job history deleted.

Information that may be deleted

• Your phone number, and the time, duration and outcome of your call.
• Call audio and its written transcript.
• WhatsApp conversation data retained by the service, where available.
• Job details taken from the conversation, such as the work needed, your address or area, the time agreed and the price quoted.
• For a tradesman account: account details, configured rates and service area, and job history.
• Support records relating to your request, where legally permitted.

Deleting a single call recording

If you only want the recording and transcript of one call removed, say so in your email and give the number you called from and the approximate time of the call. We do not need you to delete anything else to honour that.

Turning the service off

A tradesman who wants to stop the service should also switch off call forwarding on his own handset with his telecom operator. Deleting the account here does not by itself cancel forwarding set up on your number.

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to sumitsonkawade@sonkawadelabs.in.
2. Use the subject line Phone Munshi Data Deletion Request.
3. Include the phone number you called from or were contacted on, the tradesman or business you were calling, and the approximate date and time of the call, so we can find the right record. A tradesman should write from his registered account email or number.

Response timeline

We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and respond within 30 days, subject to identity verification, legal obligations and abuse-prevention requirements. You can also stop future processing at any time by ending a forwarded call, or by replying STOP on WhatsApp.

What we may have to keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request — for example, transaction and payment records we are required to retain by law or by our payment partner, and minimal logs kept to prevent fraud and abuse. Where we must keep something, we tell you what and why in our response.

If a business holds your data

The tradesman you called decides what happens to his callers' data, and we hold it on his behalf. We will act on your request and, where he also holds a copy, tell you to contact him directly — and we will pass the request on to him if you ask us to. Deleting data held by us does not delete WhatsApp messages saved on your own phone or on his.
